Greenpeace India were always confident of their sound legal footing. Greenpeace exist for the environment and people. That’s where their passion lies (not in fighting legal cases). Despite the frequent attacks on them in the last few months, they have done some impressive work - combating air pollution, championing solar energy and, recently, fighting for the safety of our food.
You can strengthen them more by spreading the word and by signing the petition to Ban Ki-moon of the U.N. to lend his voice in support of free speech and civil society in India (please visit the website of Greenpeace India).
Despite focussed attention, LifeForce personnel did not hear one reference to these issues (inc. the previous update on the 6th November) on the BBC news reports covering this month's visit to the U.K. by the Indian Prime Minister.
